A Little Perspective For The New Year

Whenever I get preoccupied and weighed down by issues at work or other things I can't control something usually happens at home to put everything in perspective and help me focus on what really matters. I spent this afternoon at the emergency room at Children's Hospital here in Seattle after my 19-month-old son Anders pulled something heavy down on his head. He's fine. The gash on his head didn't need stitches, a little super glue did the trick.

Here's to focusing on what matters in 2006.
